Description of works:

  • Existing 47 arch span bridge
  • Form cofferdam to divert water
  • Power clean arch soffit
  • Fix steel dowels and 3 layers of mesh to soffits
  • Install reinforced concrete bases to all arches
  • Apply 350mm of gunite to all arches
  • Pressure grouting to entire bridge structure
  • Cantilevered scaffolding to both sides of the bridge
  • Sand blasting to entire bridge structure
  • Construction of Armagh Lime stone to raise existing parapet walls
  • Construction of new walls on the south approach to the bridge
  • Repointing to entire bridge structure
  • Scarify new bitmac surfaces
  • Reply new bitmac surfaces
  • Landscaping works to all surrounding areas
